The El Rey has been a fixture on Cerrillos Road since the 1930s, when fabled Route 66 ran through Santa Fe. The five-acre mini-resort remains one of the city's most appealing vintage properties, with its 80...

5.0 of 5 stars.
Quite frankly, I'm surprised that I am the first one to review this gem of a motel. It's on Cerrillos road and you will pretty much need to drive to get anywhere. However... The price is reasonable…

My daugther and I spent 3 nights at the Inn and it was wonderful, relaxing, informative, beautiful and the staff is so nice. Its a beautiful place to stay. Our suite was so clean and had everything that we needed and more. All activties were within walking distance. The price was great. I would recommend the El Rey to everyone. Thank you all for a wonderful stay and to my daugther for giving me a wonderful and loving gift. -- Juanita Barajas

We spent 3 nights at the El Ray last week - and I thought the place was magical. The rooms were clean, spacious and well-equipped. We spent the first two nights in a rooom with a full kitchen plus kiva fireplace - fabulous. It snowed whilst we were there, and the children loved building a snowman and creating a sledging run around the garden. It was also a first for me to be able to lie in the open air hot tub in the evening whilst it was snowing! Looking up at the stars whilst snowflakes are falling is almost beyond words... I can't recommend the place highly enough - great staff, superb facilities and truly atmospheric. I only hope I get the chance to go back sooner rather than later.
